How to use Facebook API send sms through my web site?

Hello there.
this is for my final year project and I'm gonna make commercial web site in that I want to send SMS to my customers who have facebook account that they have enabled sms notifying them that their product is ready.
And a SMS should be sent his cell phone through facebook. Are their any resources how to use this and use facebook API for this purpose.

Any help or advice will be appreciated.(I have no budget to buy commercial SMS Gateway , any alternatives?)

Shouldn't you choose your final project based on something you have the ability to perform?
