Office Pranks

Posted 23 November 2009 - 08:49 AM

Because it's the week of Thanksgiving, I'm the only one of 3 software developers in our office all week. I'm looking for some unique office pranks to pull... any ideas?

So far, here's a list of things I plan:
- Posting Craigslist ads using their email addresses
- Kidnapping/Ransoming some of their office supplies
- Plugging their computers into a Mac-mini (they're Windows guys)

Any other suggestions will be most helpful :D

The #1 sounds like a bad idea.

Stick to tried and true methods.. tin foil their desks.. or saran-wrap in their cubes and fill it with balloons. Cut to fit some dry wall and insert it into their doors and making it look like the doors were never there..

I like the balloon ones. My coworkers have a habit of moving my stuff around. Since I make sure everything has it's place, it really annoys me. >_> I once found a crappy group photo with one of my fellow coworkers (Lt. Sassy Britches) and zoomed in as far as it could go on his face and printed it out and posted them all over the office. lol.

My handy work from years ago as a phone jockey..

I have to say - that work atmosphere blew goats, but that act united everyone and the work place was palpably better... for a few weeks.

you can also fill it with crumpled paper (phone books or news papers), that's always funny too.

Another good prank that you have to build up to, every morning or night slip a dime into their telephone, and then after a while when they start getting used to it after time, take them all out. I know they did this on the office, but doing it IRL is funny as shit too because it works.

My headset disconnects from the cord and we're all the time putting tape on the connectors and plugging it back in. The person on the other end can't hear them when they answer.
