are you running a firewall thats blocking out going on port 6667?

How do I check and edit that in FireFox?
My virus scanner's not doing anything of the sort.

use telnet,

open up cmd

run

telnet irc.wyldryde.org 6667

if it hangs with nothing, then its prolly blocked, if it starts spitting stuff at you then it isnt.

are you using firefox or ie?

try clearing your cache and restarting, that worked for me

No, clearing the cache had no effect, I get the same errors.

Are you running the windows firewall?

Windows firewall is allowing Firefox access, it is not blocking Firefox.
