Site check request

Posted 16 May 2001 - 06:18 AM

Hello all,

Looking for positive/negative feedback on our site. Newly designed with DHTML, ASP and Remote Scripting. Checked with IE 5 and 5.5, Netscape 4 (2 versions). Is it OK with your browser?

http://www.viautel.com

Thanks in advance

BTW, great site for dev's - forum is excellent!

What do you need, maybe I can help...

Thanks for checking the site. I need like 4 different browser versions to check layouts... It's a pain, especially for remote scripting and DHTML, IE likes it, NN some, others ?...

i'd get someone to check it out in the aol browser, i don't have aol or i'd do it myself :(

ok, about the asp stuff, i'm the webmaster for my church and we have vacation bible school coming up, what i'd like to do is have a form that parents can fill out online and everything would go into an access database, i thought that i had everything figured out but i don't, i can send you the files if you like.

First, does your ISP support ASP? Very important! If it does, send me the files at domviau@sympatico.ca. I'll take a look at them.

ok, that may be a problem, i'm hosted through verio.com and i'm having problems determining whether or not it supports asp, and that may be why my pages aren't working.

You will need at least the Bronze Plan Windows® 2000 from verio.com to use ASP pages. Their other hosting plans seem to be Unix-based. Check your plan name, and upgrade if necessary (24.95/month I think + setup fee probably).

Once you have verified this, let me know by email, and then I'll check the files.

So far so good, but... do you have the "Bronze Plan Windows® 2000"? The Windows 200 part must figure on the plan name. The regular Bronze plan does not include ASP support.

Check again...
