Hellbroth, are you still working on that pokemon clone? If so, I'd be interested in seeing how far along you've managed to get now.

Nope i am not. I learn enough things to make a whole one now so i am ok with that i think i will start
learning game programming with c++ now as it is more efficient. But i am not sure yet.

Hi, I'm making a card game called Over The Top, it's got similar rules to Gin Rummy but a lot different in other ways, just finished getting player's cards to display on the screen, they are all face up for debugging purposes.

Menu:

2 Player Mode:

3 Player Mode:

and 4 Player Mode:

Still a work in progress but the screen manager is working fine and I have the card framework and player system in hand.

Looks pretty good so far, ShadowsEdge19, keep us up to date on your progress. I for one can't wait to see you get rid of that cornflower blue background. lol

I'm not very good at making my own graphics, I still need a decent menu screen with the words "Over The Top" written in a funky way in the middle of the screen, and a decent background pic for the game screen and rules page.

All that can pretty easily be done in Photoshop, or a friend that does art. I have a good friend of mine that does all of the art work that I use, but I have been known to rip open Photoshop and do some quick edits if needed.

Isn't title yet, but this is a screen shot of what I have for my entry to the latest game programming challenge at Game Institute. It is a two player game that can be played locally and over the LAN. Can also be played in single player mode.

*edit*
I should mention that the sprites are from Open Game Art, a site that offers free game art to open source games.

The deadline was last Sunday. There is only one other person who finished their entry on time. That is one more than the last one. I will be releasing my entry as an Open Source project after the judging. Thought about writing a tutorial series on creating it but it would be several hundred pages and don't really have that kind of time. There is about 7,500 to 10,000 lines of code alone.
