it says that for the author badge, it has nothing to do with the DIC++ badge

What if a user has DIC++ then reaches 500 kudos, I saw skyhawk133 say its permanent if you reach 500 kudos does this mean that the DIC++ user will never have to buy DIC++ again? Just curious...

If I remember right, the DIC++ that you get for reaching 500 kudos does not include you getting a DIC email address. The DIC++ that you pay for does include a DIC email address.
