Ello,
For the past 18 hours I've been unable to connect to my website located on a remote server.

a. Some people in US, UK and Netherlands can connect ( im sure others can too )
b. Some people can't connect
c. I cannot connect to the server IP, ping it or alike ( which means all other websites hosted on the same IP address )
d. I cannot connect to another server IP located in the same sub-class
e. Traceroute gets to about node 9 or 10 and then times out '* * * *' all the way. This would suggest my ISP is fine and not blocking anything, but the hosting company also suggest nothing is wrong, since they can connect to the website.
f. I have two computers on the same network, both are fine, no issues with firewalls, viruses or alike.
g. I have checked my host file, reset my routers and both pcs.
h. I called my ISP who suggested theres nothing they can do, obviously. Since the traceroute goes past their stuff fine.
i. I cannot connect to the websites email, ftp or alike
j. I can connect to my web hosting account ( but this is not located on the same IP )

Now, what can I do ? lol
It sounds like a server is offline somewhere along the traceroute.

My thought is that node 6 ( gblx.net ) has some issues.
Any help or advice would be really really appreciated.

Im afraid this is still occuring
Hop 6 is now back to normal.
The "secureserver.net" hops where it stops are belonging to Godaddy.
Yet they believe nothing is wrong and have checked my ip. They can connect to it also. Im fairly sure nothing is going to come out of this and im probably going to have to change web hosting.

Is there a way I can force my connection through a different route?

Im afraid I can't. However, rest assured that the domain was connectable by several friends, local and global. This included GoDaddy.

Resolution:
---------------
After forcing an IP renewal, droping my ipconfig and switching from my router to direct connection I was able to finally connect.
This suggests GoDaddy did infact block my IP address and was not willing to admit it.

Steps:
1. 'ipconfig /release' from cmd.exe
2. Unplug router and modem. Connect directly to the modem and turn it off for several minutes.
3. Turn on the modem and release the ip again several times.
4. Switch modem on and off again to confirm changes ( or whatever magical fairy dust needs to be born )
5. Reconnect and enjoy the new IP.

I would recommend a deletion of this thread, but I feel it may also someday help someone else with this matter.

Those commands will work, but only if the following are both true.

1.) Your computer is hooked directly to the modem, meaning you don't have a router & your computer has an external routable ip address. You can release & renew your ip address all day long, but if you are on a non-routable ip scheme on an internet network, it isn't going to do a bit of difference.

2.) Your ISP assigns you a dynamic ip address, & releasing it will cause your ISP to actually assign you a new one. In most cases, you would still get the previous address. The best way to get a new ip address (again, on a DHCP assigned ISP) is to unplug your modem over the weekend. Since traffic is higher on the weekends, & new signups are likely, the address will get re-managed. Even better than weekends are holidays. Lots of new signups on holidays.
