For the past 18 hours I've been unable to connect to my website located on a remote server.
b. Some people can't connect
c. I cannot connect to the server IP, ping it or alike ( which means all other websites hosted on the same IP address )
d. I cannot connect to another server IP located in the same sub-class
e. Traceroute gets to about node 9 or 10 and then times out '* * * *' all the way. This would suggest my ISP is fine and not blocking anything, but the hosting company also suggest nothing is wrong, since they can connect to the website.
f. I have two computers on the same network, both are fine, no issues with firewalls, viruses or alike.
g. I have checked my host file, reset my routers and both pcs.
h. I called my ISP who suggested theres nothing they can do, obviously. Since the traceroute goes past their stuff fine.
i. I cannot connect to the websites email, ftp or alike
j. I can connect to my web hosting account ( but this is not located on the same IP )
Now, what can I do ? lol
It sounds like a server is offline somewhere along the traceroute.
EDIT: Part of the tracert:
4 15 ms 9 ms 12 ms man-bb-a-as5-0.network.virginmedia.net [220.127.116.11]
5 11 ms 9 ms 12 ms man-bb-b-ae0-0.network.virginmedia.net [18.104.22.168]
6 46 ms 203 ms 199 ms te-4-3.ar3.CDG2.gblx.net [22.214.171.124]
7 33 ms 31 ms 32 ms 126.96.36.199
8 33 ms 31 ms 35 ms ip-208-109-115-121.ip.secureserver.net [188.8.131.52]
My thought is that node 6 ( gblx.net ) has some issues.
Any help or advice would be really really appreciated.
