demo of bot i'm trying to make> Youtube.com
hey all. nothing malicious about making this bot. i would like to write a app that sits on my desktop, and when i click a button, it would open up FF and go to youtube, or site of my choice, and auto-login for me. if you look at the code, i can show you where i am stuck

i know how to add resources to my form, i already have the FF.exe in there.
i'm wondering if i need to create a new string, or is the file somewhere? i've looked in FF folder, cant find anything. can anybody help me?

There are a couple of approaches:
1. Let FF do the Password handling stuff for you. Click this link for more information.
2. Did you try what the guy said. I mean in his comments he mentioned a weblink to the code. Well incase you missed it here it is.
3. If it were not FF, you could have done that in your own WebBrowser application. [IE..]

Try it and let me know if this works...because it seems interesting.

Okay, I tried it just now, and it seems that this code will work as long as:
1. The FireFox window is Maximized and has focus.
2. The screen resolution is set at 1024x768.

Any of the two settings change, or you accidentally click or select another window, then it wouldn't work.
There are six timers. Each fires at defined intervals and performs functions like mouse move and mouse click.

If the website loads slowly or gets stuck, the program has no way of knowing that and the timers continue to send periodic commands to the active window.

yeah, i downloaded the code. im deaf, so i cant hear audio well. thats my main problem, and thats where i get into trouble. im not new to vb, btw just so you know

Why do you need to make this? I mean web browsers already have the capability to auto login and save passwords

if you would watch the youtube video, you would see why.
besides, its a good exercise.
