Ok, this is my site. Tell me what you think on a scale from 1-10. I know it's not great, but I'm interested in improving it so I'd like to know what you guys think I should change. Thanks!

Don't get offended, but you need to do some major set down time there!

Don't try and copy luke's site, be original and make something that is different and more professinal looking. You well never have any members with that.

The popup..... It's gotta go.
The font...... Boring, jagged,and boring.
The layout.... Like crawling around in the dark.
The ads....... You hit me with so many, my head still hurts.
The content... Where?

If you really want to make something of it, throw the passion you feel about boarding into it. This site makes it seem that you really don't care.

Don't take this personnal, you just need to put more thought and time into it!

Thanks for your views, I'm not offended or anything, but I'd like to say a few things. First, I wasn't copying Luke's site, Luke actually made the design for me(he does work for the site). You're right about the font, but I was aiming to keep it somewhat simple. And about the content, are you talking about the front page content? On the left menu, you can click on the words(not links), and a drop down menu will appear(I'm not sure if you knew this, just the statement you made sort of confused me), and that's where the content is. Thanks!

The font is not simple.... It belongs in a text documnet, not the front page of a site that wants to be cutting edge.

You really need to consider the pop-up format, there is zero reason for it. I would stay in the main browser and and size it to the window.

ok, the drop-down menus were a cool idea, but only for people who know they're there. also slashraid is completely right about the pop-up window thing, putting it in the full browser window would eliminate 95% of scrolling and make your page seem a little more important. Also, no offense, but those look like template colors. i have to say that is a bitchin' idea (skate community), and if you REALLY need someone to help w/ layout then e-mail me, i'd be happy to help if you want it:

It's good you're ready to take some critizim (spelling???) Landon!  The concept, I think, rocks.  However, you did some things wrong.

[*]You let me do the graphics, making them morbidly ugly
[*]The design that you're using, that I created, was desiged strictly as a pop-up, so your background tiles, making it look pretty crappy.  Try to convert all of that into a giant table.
[*]On that navigation, you should really figure out how to do the folders.  That would make it look a lot better than little bullets.

Also, by the way Landon, I can't work for SkateLXT anymore.  Sorry, but my personal site, moding at Eboarding, and most of important now, MODO, takes up all of my time.  Sorry man.  I'll talk to you about it on AIM sometime.

It's ok Luke. You mentioned that to me before and I think it's cool, because I'm going to end up working for your site anyway, so it's just a little trade-off. Yeah, and I understand how many internet duties you have. And as for the site, I'm going back to the drawing board.

Ok SlashRaid or whoever. I've fixed some of the things you've suggested, so I'd like you to rate the changes I've done. I know the site isn't completely done(content wise), and please ignore the left background image, that's next on the "to do" list. But I have fixed the navigation and changed the title image. Ok, well, I just "fixed" the left background image. It's not too creative but at least it fits in the frame. Keep the constructive criticism coming, because I want my site to be good and I'll continue to tweak it little by little.
