Which is your favorite programming language?

Posted 17 December 2009 - 01:53 AM

That is why Objective C is so brilliant in my mind. Straightforward C and obvious OO.

I've always thought Java was a ripoff of openstep. Today they go head to head iphone (openstep derived) vs. Android (java).

What about yours...?

If its for system programming like for microprocessor or microcontrolers
types then C mixed with Assembly.
And for application programming (i do for windows platform) then it depends on the problem if its time related then OOP make it easy with the power of native thats C++ and else C# for very quick production.

I'm a fan of Java, mostly just because it's what I know the best. C/C++ is all right

Anything on the low-down it'll be assembly for me or else it's C++. If I need some web development done I'd used simple HTML (which yes I realize isn't technically a programming language).

Ruby is my favorite scripting language, but I would have to say C is my overall favorite, even if I haven't used it in awhile.

I love to use Java, but I prefer the results achieved with C++.

I also tend to use C# for most everything now. This is because I program for Windows the most so it just makes sense to use it for creating GUI applications. I also use C# and XNA for my games. I could use other languages as well.

I like anything that lets me shoot myself in the foot, because it teaches me how NOT to do it.
C/C++ for most coding, Python if I just need a quick thing (check if number is prime, for instance), and PHP for web development

My favorite language is C#. I use it a lot for Windows apps and Web apps with ASP.NET. My second favorite is C++, because I am familiar with that language from my days at Uni.
