HTACCESS help.. Again...

Posted 23 December 2009 - 06:40 AM

Hello, again. I'm sorry I keep starting threads about HTACCESS, I am only just getting to terms with RegEx, and this one has out-done me. I have tried using Google to help me out, but got nothing.

My problem is this: I have a profile page, the user access' this by going to "http://www.360gamer.net/user,username_here", but I have a user that has a "!" in their name, and I cannot write the correct RegEx to match this.

Here is my current RegEx, which works fine for all the users, other than this one user with the exclamation mark.

RewriteRule user,([A-Za-z0-9-_]+)$ profile/$1 [L]

I have tried adding an exclamation mark into the string but it doesn't seem to work?

Thanks alot, any help appreciated.

I can't see why that would make any difference?

If I go to: 360gamer.net/user,huzi8t9

it works fine, however if I go to 360gamer.net/user,codfreak!

it won't work.

Sorry, I've got the wrong idea.

Try with ^user\,(.*)[/]?$. Sorry again.
