The most awkward phone call I have had in awhile.

Posted 29 December 2009 - 08:57 PM

Setting up the story I meet a girl at a coffee shop we exchanged fb's links, we later meet at UNCA, and we decided to on one date, well it didn't work out, so I decided the hell with it.

She randomly calls me tonight, and the only thing I could think of is

HOW DARE YOU INTERRUPT ME WHILE I'M CODING

I was more intuned with the email I sent my bossman and the generic repository data model I was putting together and testing out against my database in ASP.Net MVC, than the conversation, but over what few sound waves she did send over that I caught was a list of the following conversation.

The amount of snow NC has received lately.
long period of silence
Samuel L. Jackson
long period of silence
can you hear the smashing pumpkins in the background
long period of silence
How bad the Spirit the movie was, There is bad, really bad then there is the Spirit Bad.

That was the most ackward phone conversation, because it was so unexpected with the most random conversations you could have with someone who you barely know.

Has anyone else received an ackward phone call this week, or just want to share the most ackward phone conversation they've ever had?

Anyone?

Dude, I get strange phone calls all the time from customers.

They always want free advice, calling items by strange names.

You know, that light thing on my tv screen that says the modem is on..., well it's orange, what's wrong?!

The best was when the computer show ECS (Expedited Computer Services) Computers was still down the road from us, we would get ALL kinds of upset customers calling in.

WHERE IS MY **** DAMN LAPTOP!

heh. No wonder they closed down.

I bet you have received some off the wall conversations. When I use to work for customer service (for the quick week) at Earthlink; I got some off the wall questions while customers would try to describe their problem, and yet we would be running in circles.

Yes The computer isn't coming on

Did you press the power button. You have a Dell right? It's that big grey button in the middle of your computer case

I did... but it's not on. It's your fault

... more of unneccessary frustration

Did you plug your computer in?

Oh, Gd Colon, did you unplug my computer again?

@no2pencil, Did you ever get a call from the workers from the previous repair shop that closed down? That would be off the wall slap ass happy funny!

"O this is heavy Doc!"

Not a real champ with the ladies eh? Facebook really?

But really what was so good about this 'intuned e-mail to the bossman'? From personal experience I can say women have a third sense when is comes to knowing if the person there talking to is attentive. She was probably just screwing with your head.

No, but I do share the same name as one of the technicians. So I was able to steal some business :)

Blasphemer.

I was in the middle of an enterprise CMS and website. I've been working on a data model generic interfaces, specific interfaces, and some unique page templates that uses the data models for the past week now. I can't just stop working.

And to answer the former question you asked. I don't think it worked out for both of us, so now it's long history.

And to one who asked if I'm a ladies man.... I laugh out loud, of course I'm not.

If someone calls me, & they need their shit fixed, how is it my fault they called the wrong repair shop on Portage Trail?

If I tell them how to get there, & they show up with work for me, it isn't my fault ;)

Yea, probably should have. Well, I'll call tomorrow and if I don't get completely blown off I use my sex phermones and schmexiness to win her back, and go on another date, but I'm telling you we just don't have chemistry.

But hey, she called which means she's atleast interested, so why not?
