I have a question ...
lets say when the username and pass are correct
i want the user to directly go to the menu.asp page ... how can i do that?

ASP or ASP.NET? If .NET, which scripting language are you using?
If it's classic asp, you can use the response.redirect() method...if .NET, you can use Repsponse.Redirect or Server.Transfer. Server.Tranfer will only work for pages that are served on the same server as the redirecting page.
