First off, before I get to anything else..

or even off the wall languages like "Brainfuck".

Chris, you have officialy scared me. Almost out of doing it.. but just almost.

On another note, looks like I came back here just in time. I've been meaning to get back into coding and came back to this site hoping that being here would help keep me on track or at least motivate me a bit. Even better, you've given me a track to stay on. My problem -and why I even became interested in computers- it that no one thing.. language keeps my interest long enough to be able to really make use of it (though have managed to stay with C++ consistantly). I spend a lot of time reading about different langaunges and all, I'm just lacking experience in actualy using any of it. This sounds like the perfect thing to ease me out of that habbit, will still keeping me interested with something new.

One question, though: when you post a challenge that has a language that hasn't been used yet, could you also post a link to an editor/compiler of that language? Like posting a link to eclipse.org for a Java challenge? It'll save everyone some time trying to find an editor for a language they've never used before.

Also, I agree with cmh0114, at least for languages where its more diffcult to find a decent one.

Sounds fun, but knowing myself I wouldn't expect very many projects completed by me.

And I always thought I am the only one having this problem :D

Amazing idea, by the way! :)

Hopefully the first challenge will be out soon...

I love the idea, I will do as many as I can. Maybe I can use this as an excuse for lack of new years resolutions ;)

The first challenge is up! (What's wrong with jQuery for all you complaining about it?!!?!?)

If you're doing the 52 Week Challenge, throw this icon in your signature and link it to the 52 weeks forum or even your latest entry:

I plan on participating as much as I can, but no telling what college can throw at me. So I may be absent for a few of them, but I think I'd be able to find time somewhere. :D

And GREEEEAT, start off with a tool I've never used for a language I've never used... -_-

Looks like I need to cook up a Haskell and Clojure challenge. Finally, an opportunity to get you guys using my languages.

Muahahahahaha.

This is a great idea! Finally, something that I can do to get a break from my job/school programming, without leaving my computer XD

But seriously, great idea! This should be a lot of fun =D

Haskell is a part of my Programming Language Paradigms class. Should be fun.
