C# asset tracking for windows mobile

Dear Friends..
im just new to this filed.im just want to do a project using windows mobile(mc 9000) asset tracking system..use barcode and get read them using mobile and captured data shoul be sent to the database using wireless lan technology..can some body help me to do this immediatlyiiiif any codings related tutorials e books and etc.....

I would suggest you to download the emdk from motorola. I've used this sdk to use the barcode scanner also there is a managed library for wlan comms.

can i connect the mobile application directly to the sql server via wireless or do i actually need to save the data on the sql ce then only transfer the data to sql server ?

Yes you can connect the directly to the sql server. As long as you're on an active network link.
