Machine Code Tutorial?

Post icon  Posted 10 January 2010 - 01:41 PM

I'm looking for a Machine Code/Assembly tutorial for a student who has little to no experience with programming. We will be working with the LC-3 Machine, so theory and lots of explaination are really what I'm looking for. If anyone knows of a good tutorial like that, please let me know. Thank you.

If you're just learning to program, I would recommend steering clear of assembly in favor of something higher level, which is easier to pick up.

However, if you're determined to learn assembly, you should check out our Tutorial Section or, if that doesn't turn up any results, FreeComputerBooks.com has a section on some assembly resources, here: http://freecomputerb...emblyBooks.html

Good luck :)

I would take a basic programing course first.
What type of processor will you be using with your machine code?
