Best Advertising Programs for Publishers

As web publishers, what have been your experiences with different services such as Adsense and Adbrite?

I have a special situation in which I have a site that has a lot of hits, but hardly no ad clicks. What are your favorite Ad services that provide payment for impressions?

What about affiliate services?

Any other tips on monetizing a site? Hostings got to paid for somehow!

EDIT: Basically looking for a good service that pays for impressions.

It's a user inputted Zune news site. Sort of Digg style.
