Ultimate Stick Fight Arena
2D Stick Fighting Game
In Creation By: Jack McDonald and Bradlee Dugdale
This thread will be where I report on the progress of this game, also it is where I will be asking for help with some things.
Can anyone recommend a good 2D animation program?
Which programming language will work best?
Thanks in advance.

Cool, even though too many of these kinds of games were made already, I still say you should go for it.
I know someone who is signed up on this forum (but never came back) who wrote a game called sticky's revenge, which was an awesome game.
I suggest you read on how to make JAVA Applets. Here are reasons why:
1) Vector graphics with lines and circles to make stick figures are incredibly easy to do in JAVA (at least for me it was).
2) These Applets then can be added to web pages and are platform independant.
3) I can help you with JAVA video game applets from sound to keyboard/mouse input.
Playing a sound/song as a WAV, MIDI, or AU really only needs three lines of JAVA code versus 25 for C++.
I never thought i'd recommend someone to make a game in JAVA but your idea seems almost perfect in JAVA,
(I might not be availiable to answer your questions about this thread all the time though, i've been busy recently).
go 4 it!
