1 hr=3600 sec 3600 images
1 day =24 hr = 86400 sec 86400 images

Kidding, right? The clock face doesn't change, just the hands do.
Assuming I wanted reasonably accurate movement on my minute and hour hands, it would be 1+ 60+60+60 = 181 images. I'd probably reuse the hour and minute by making the page scale it, so 121 images.
In reality, you'd use the ASP.NET framework to render the images you needed at a give rotation and them merge them. So 4 images total, hour, minute, second and clock face.
