wpf & wcf requires .net framework 3.0 as a minimum

You used to be able to download extensions for VS 2005 that allowed you to use WPF/WCF (.Net 3.0), but ...

"VS 2005 Extensions for .NET Framework 3.0 (WPF & WCF) CTP is Coming off the MS Download Center"

So, no - not for v2 of the framework, and no not for VS 2005..
