Model Loading with OpenGL

hi,

how can i load a model file(maybe OBJ, 3DS, Collada or another) into opengl and then draw it to the scene?

Hi

You will need to look up how the model format you would like to load is arranged and stored within the file and then write some code to make OpenGL draw it.

One of the easiest models to load is the quake 2 .md2 files

here is a great link with the specifications and examples to get an md2 model loaded up.

here is a link to help load .x files without using Direct X, it uses a library called xfilepc.

this site has a sample game with an md2 loader but its not great, good to get an idea of how its done though.
