My company has opted to use PostgreSQL to manage stock ticker info. I will be assisting the database admin and amount my many tasks is it write shell scripts to automate database management tasks. I have experience with Perl and will likely use it to write the scripts, however; I have never used Perl to work with SQL. Does anyone have any example scripts I can study to get my bearings?
