Manage files in C++

Posted 28 January 2010 - 04:12 PM

I would like to create a C++ project, which is so complicated that I don't know where to start, or find any information. Any help is welcome!!

The objective is to create from this C++ program running on Windows with this features:
1) Creates an empty file ("main file")
2) If you drag and drop any file ("source file") over the main file, the program has to copy each byte of the source file on the main file.

It's the second point the one I am lost at. The performance I want is similar to a WINZIP file, so that if you drag and drop any file over the .zip, it accepts it and includes it compressed.

Thanks a lot.
