Well ain't this spiffy! Nice editor too. I do have a suggestion though, and I really should have suggested it before. I would like a feature similar to MSDN Forums "Mark as Solution", where you mark a specific (or multiple) post as being the answer, then that post is highlighted in green and the thread appears as "Solved" in the forum. (Denoted by a checkmark icon).

That's something we can definitely do with the new forums and once we get all the little bugs worked out, we'll start looking at adding lots of these new features like that.

Opening the last page of a thread from a forum listing does not work (for example on hot topics where the pages go 1, 2, 3, 34->)

Question, senor: I know the rep points are supposed to replace the thanks counts, but is the total supposed to update the "Thanked:" count on a user's posts? It currently does not. If it's not supposed to, then I suppose I'll be stuck at 22 thanks for all eternity. ... and that would be my own fault for being a Lounge lizard. Anyway, just curious.

I like the minus button. does it take away from your thanked, rep or both...or neither???

EDIT: I see the plus adds to he rep, as B9 asked, does this mean my thanks will never change? oh nooooo

I like this editor. who decided to put it in?

I think there's a slight problem still =)

Unless it's SUPPOSED to be 3 times larger than my screen

If you scroll up to BetaWar's post, you'll understand why this particular thread is three times wider than your screen.

Yeah, I sorta get that it's the ability of that code box, but I really don't like the idea of it =/

I think it'd be better to have a code tag that gives the line number, plus syntax highlighting?

Get a bigger screen! What are you some kind of neanderthal? I suppose you want the editor to accept scans of your punch cards too? Gees -- we are not here to cater to those people who can't get with modern technology! I bet you don't even have an HD TV! Living in the dark ages...

You can't even read this can you?

:P

Yea... I hope they fix the code box too... I have a wide screen and I have to use dual monitors to get this topic viewable.

Can you imagine scrolling along on the iPod?

The Thanks system was merged with the reputation system, so every post that got "thanked" shows it now in the lower right. The new forum software has it's own built in reputation management functionality, so we're moving toward that in order to help determine which information is good/correct, and which information is wrong/incorrect in the help forums.
