But at least winter is half over now. At least in the northern hemisphere.

The groundhog is Puxatawney Phil, in Puzatawney, PA. As for the Bill Murray connection, rent the movie 'Groundhog Day'.

What didn't you like about the movie? I loved it! Two people who felt utterly alone in a foreign country stick together.
On one hand, a man who is over the hill or at least basically peaked, suddenly feels that what he does doesn't really mean anything.
And a woman that married too young or to the wrong guy for her is left alone on her honeymoon.

Also, there are plenty of good movies Bill Murray has been in. The only one you really don't want to see is Garfield (which is his only regret in life).

I liked Lost in Translation, even if it did feel like a first film. Bill must have had worse movies than that... Garfield alone makes anything else forgivable by comparison.
Groundhog Day is fun. Stripes is Bill Murray in his prime. And, of course, Caddyshack.

Maybe, if a groundhog comes out and doesn't see his shadow in a specific area they will have a milder winter for the next six weeks. It would be nice if that would happen.
