Hello World!

Hey, just droppin an introduction as requested, I've been programming for about 15 yrs now, and i'm currently taking software engineering @ Carleton University (Ontario, Canada)
I'm familiar with several languages and reasonably experienced with Java, C++, HTML (if that's even a language, lol) and currently learning more C++, Ruby, CSS, and Perl on top of all the other stuff i know :)
I am the same W^2 from SysChat and Tech-Recipes. I always enjoy learning new programming tricks, or remembering ones i have long forgotten.

William, welcome to dream.in.code! It's always great to have someone as experienced as yourself on board! Hopefully we can help you with the languages you're learning. We always appreciate any help you can offer (as I see you've already done in the Java forum).

Welcome to dream in code! And in my own city, as well! Glad to have you. and Hello World is not just a reference to java...it is a mainstay for all programming languages, including those in use before java was ever conceived of! :)

I know the Hello World is universal, they tried to make me write in my C++ and VB classes i've taken, but i told them... well never mind what i told them, lets just say i didn't do it. I just find that it is the starting point for nearly ALL java tutorials, while there are much better approahes with other languages :)
