How do you plan to use the reputation system

Posted 06 February 2010 - 08:51 AM

I guess I would like to know how we as the users of this site are planning on using the Reputation system.

I personally feel like if I'm reading a topic and someone supplies an answer that I feel solved the OP's problem, I should click the + to show that I agree that it is a viable solution to the question. The reason I bring this up is I got the feeling that the old "Thanks" system seemed to only be used by the original poster of the thread.

I agree, I would like to see people help vote for the correct content. We'll eventually implement a modification that will circle the highest voted answer to make it easier to find.

Maybe the wording should be changed to "I agree with this answer" or something similar. That is, if indeed you are intending it as voting system for best answers. I may not necessarily find the post helpful to me but I agree with the solution since I understand it and know that it will help the OP. Therefore I increment it. --Just a thought
