Orange is the Programmers Color?

Maybe i need to go outside, but what is with the all the orange when it comes to programming sites?

Are we naturally attracted to orange as moths to bright lights? If this is the case we could be in serious danger of traffic cones

Orange is shown to stimulate activity, and encourage socialization. Which is great for a forum.

Orange and Blue are always in pictures. Don't believe me? Check out some AAA game box art. What colors are predominant? :P

I personally used violent shades of purple, red blue purple, red dark blue pink, and others.
