Java directions

Posted 14 February 2010 - 09:50 AM

Hello All,
I just have two questions and since you have been writing java code a whole lot longer than I, I figured you would know some good sources with examples. I have two programs to write one a disk utility that copies the files from a folder to another folder without subdirectoies with an option to copy said subdirectories if user chooses so. The other is to write a program using serialization to serialize to a file a name, address and phone number but to first check if the file is present and if not allow the user to create it. I have checked the resources I have and can create a utility to do recursive directory coping will all contents but not just the files in the main directory. Concerning the other my serialzation skills consist of what I have read and limited practice. Thanks for your answer.
