They could vote up. Probably set it to 25 times.

Could be a good thing, but people are stingy with the +s and generous with the -s. I can see this eliminating some posts, it already has me thinking I'm not going to waste any effort posting. Took me 2 years to get 15 pts and all of 5 minutes to lose 1/3 of it. I don't post fluff, but I try to post relevant comments. If you don't agree, feel free to post, don't just hit the fuckin - button because you don't like me or what I said.

All of us since we're on the internet. :P

@Pwn: That's the whole point of the rep system. That way, if someone does post something irrelevant, unhelpful, or plain out deterrent for the conversation in a legitimate thread, they can be publicly recognized for it. I'm not directing this at you in particular for making bs posts, but as a blanket statement.

@skyhawk133: I like the vote down/up constraints that you have chosen. I think those will be a good place to start. You can always adjust them later, if need be.

@supersloth: I know I don't need to tell you, but I'm gonna anyway. You bring enlightenment to my otherwise boring existence. Don't ever change.

The additions are cool. I like knowing when I actually helped someone. Now I also like seeing who voted down. I understand others concerns also, as I have been voted down because I did not give the person the actual code, but just an explanation of his problem.

These quotas have been implemented. We'll monitor their effectiveness. Please PM me or report a member from their profile using the "Report" button if you feel someone is abusing the reputation system.

We will release a new set of rules regarding reputation tonight.

Ok, don't report every damn post someone down voted you just because you don't know why. I'm talking about people ABUSING the down vote. People accidentally down vote things. If you go to their profile and they've down voted every reply or they are obviously just trying to ruin someones reputation, then you can report it, but our moderators are way to busy to go hunting down why someone down voted your post you thought was helpful. Reply to the thread and ask or PM the person if you really have a legitimate gripe.

If you are someone who regularly just gives people the [ rules ] or just looks for people asking for their homework done so you can tell them we don't do peoples homework, then of course you're going to get voted down. We're here to help people. Just don't reply to people who want their homework done for them. Or if you do, realize you might get a down vote, so make sure you provide some helpful replies in other threads to offset that.

The "Reputation Given/Received" in your profile now links directly to the post that rep was given for. (Instead of just the thread)

Cool addition. I really like this new system. I didn't think it possible, but DIC is getting better and better by the day.

So, do we get rollover downvotes? Like, I have 5 per day (because I'm a bitter, old, curmudgeon)... if I only use 2 of them today, do I have 8 for tomorrow? Can we be AT&T instead of Verizon?
