Greetings,

Found my way here through The Admin Zone forums and decided to register because I got my hopes up to find a C++ programmer(s).

The Game Project

Babylon 5: Severed Dreams is a freeware game project, that is currently under developement by Final Eclipse Studios - A special group of people who came together with only one purpose: Create the Babylon 5 space simulator for fans to enjoy. The team has a modeler, texturer and a sound artist.

The game features will include: Action packed space fights, spetacular graphics and a good storyline - this all takes place in Babylon 5 Universe.

So to be clear, the game will cost the user nothing, it is purely non-profit, freeware game.

What the project needs is a C++ programmer - With time, interest and dedication. Without one, the project dies.

Hope you don't me bursting in and crying for a programmer. I don't have big part in the dev team, mostly been doing this; Trying to find new members.

Good god! I haven't received an email notification for this because it wasn't turn on! I will kick myself for this for a looong time

Well... This project is still alive, yet under manned. Updated info;

An in-development game, based on the Babylon 5 scifi TV series/movies is looking for more team members; Programmers, modelers, texturers, composers and voice actors.

Currently the team has one programmer, modeler and a composer.

The game genre will be space simulation with real time strategy elements and the story is set during the Earth Alliance civil war. Just to be clear, it's not a modification or total conversion for any game, but a full new game build from scratch, using OGRE graphics engine. The project is currently on early Alpha stage.

Once finished, the game will be released as freeware. No money is involved.

interested yes, but i feel my C++ knowledge falls short, as well as my time available, being a full time student...
The graphics are decent, though, i hope to play it, assuming it is finished.

*sorry i couldn't be more help, but hopefully an added post will keep it in the 'new posts' a little longer for more attention

I'm happy to inform that two coders have contacted us and our lead progammer will have a chat with them. I know zip about C++

And I refuse to believe that this project won't be finished.

Little update;

The project is under active development. Another coder has joined the project and two more have contacted us.

Currently, we're in the process of implementing the HUD and UI. Our composer is making a track for the alpha.

More team members are welcome. And as the game is in internal Alpha stage, testers are welcome too. See contact details in the first post. Best way is to register at the forums and post info about yourself and how you can help.
