i wrote a code on how to save files but the extension are giving me wrong directives
this is the code:
Private sub cmdsave_click()
if msgbox("Are you sure you want to save", vdinformation "Save Date")then
Exit sub
dim recordset. rs! as Datafile select * from Regtb where regtb = ""
else
if EOF = True then goto regtb
End if
end

first please put the code inside code tags to make it more readable.
second that dosent look like saving code, it look like you ask a user if they are sure if they want to save or not.
and the way this condition is written it just cannot work, it wont be compiled and if it does it will give you errors that will crash the program.

the msgbox window have different values to different buttons, you need to know each value to know if the user click yes, no or cancel.

another thing is that after ExitSub the rest of the lines would not run.

in what way you want to save the file? in plain text or as recordset? this will greatly impact how the code look and work.
