I love snowboarding. I suck at it miserably, but it's fun.

Its all about having a good teacher... the better your instructor is the better your butt feels the next day, when I started my buddies took me the black diamond and told me make it down. Hour later,a bruised tailbone, and a hurt ego I had complete my first shred.

I consider myself a snowboard. Even though I live in Alabama, my friend and I make a few trips a year to places like Snowshoe, WV. This year I was lucky enough to go to Northstar @ Lake Tahoe in California/Nevada, and it was amazing.

What kinda board do you gots?

I ride an Option Redline with Burton Cartel bindings and Vans Encore Boots

I consider myself one. I did it a lot before I moved where I live now. No snow, no hills :( but I still skateboard so I don't think I'd have lost much on the slopes if I snowboarded tomorrow. Snowboarding is different than skateboarding, even though similar. But the craziest air I've ever got was snowboarding. Its definitely a rush of its own :)

I have an almost completely disintegrated L3 vertebrae. Which means if I were to take a hard fall, it would snap like a twig and I would be a paralyzed mass of Lava from the waist down. :wheelchair: Didn't discover that wonderful little nugget of info until AFTER I finally moved to a state with mountains.

So, snowball fights it is. Lol.

I would like to snowboard, but unfortunately, the peaks in London are not that good (non existant). Also, when I do go on holiday, I prefere hot climates (L.A (somtimes), Las Vegas etc)

@Axel - I just started my new job last May so my funds havn't been the greatest. I rock a couple year old M3 Discord with Lamar bindings. Next season I am buying a Rome Cheaptrick with some Flow bindings...the cheaptrick is super flexy so buttering and ollieing will be really easy.

@Nick2Price - If you like to gamble at all Reno would be a prime place for you to go. Lake Tahoe is an hour to an hour and a half from there. I had a buddy that left my college and went to University of Nevada at Reno...needless to say he was failing all his classes because he was snowboarding and living the "snowboarding lifestyle" too heavy. The following year his Mom shipped him back to my college...LOL.

@Lava79 - That's no fun :(. If it makes you feel better I got my 7th concussion this Winter. Was trying a 360 grab at the end of the night...didn't have a enough juice to pull it and rack my dome off of the deck.

@designthedesign - Also have a friend who just moved to WA... he's a big snowbaorder and was liking it there a lot

@Israel - Can always take a trip somewhere to get your fix :)

I've been snowboarding since I was 8 so...12 years. Won a couple competitions, and did some filming out in utah/colorado/montana. I ride a two-year old burton 7, with tech 9 bindings. Getting too old for it now though :/ married+working fulltime+programming on the side doesn't leave room for boarding as much I'm afraid.

That's pretty sweet. Friend of mine is at nationals right now for Boarder-X. Life does suck ! lol. My fall back plan, in the case I lose my job now, is to travel the world being a snow bum that does web design to pay for lift tickets and food. :)

haha awesome...I got lucky the past couple years up here. My mom and sister work at the resort I go to so I get a Team Boyne pass for free, which pretty much lets me do whatever I want. Plus, my brother is a snowboarding instructor and another friend is a ski patrol. I guess we kind of own this place?

btw, that's a sweet picture. Is that you?

My friend from Cali was an instructor at Squaw Valley... I plan on going out there to the Lake Tahoe area sometime... might have to name drop a little :)
