Any malicious code for vb.net antivirus program?

Posted 27 February 2010 - 11:39 AM

Hey Dream In Code users!

I am creating an antivirus program in VB.NET and I have created the basic engine. I now need a list of malicious code. Has anybody got any ideas for any sites (legal) that will provide this? I know most people don't want viruses, but I do, because I want to examine the files for malicious code to put into the database of my antivirus program.

At the moment, my AntiVirus program is not available... :o

Thanks, any ideas will be amazing.

PS - ANY IDEAS THAT WORK, I WILL PUT A COMPLIMENT ON MY PROGRAM FOR YOU!!!

While you may indeed have honorable intentions here but I have no choice but to close this thread as to prevent posts that more than likely will violate the Dream.In.Code TOS and offer ideas for those with malicious intentions.

There is no freely available "list" of malicious code samples. Every security company generally keeps those locked, so that others don't have access to them (with the purpose of reproducing and developing a removal method). You have to do research on your own by decompiling malicious entities and looking for specific signatures.
