Moved to VB.NET
If you want to learn then I would start with our VB.NET Tutorials. No one (since we're all volunteers here) really has the time to walk you through the entire language or be a tutor while you learn.

Here is the book I am using for class. This book is for beginners to the VB.NET language and it includes 180 day VS 2005 software trial.
http://www.amazon.co...7395913&sr=8-19
This is a really good book for beginners and I have found this text to be very useful. It is by no means extensive on the language but it will give you a basis to start from. You will find it very easy to move on to more complicated tasks after using this book. I will give you a warning that some of the examples dont always work as they should, but for the most part it is a great text. This tid bit cost me about 1,200.00 and I just gave it to you for free.
It is based on .NET 2.0 framework but that wont mean squat to you until later. And the software is VS 2005. An addition out of date depending on when Microsoft relases .NET 4.0.

I took a college class that used this book:
http://www.amazon.co...67410553&sr=1-1 It's easy to follow, has plenty of examples and exercises, and the authors have an advanced book available to follow up with if you want to learn more.
