Hey guys, here's the thing. When I go to get me a key, it takes me to gmail to sign. I sign, go back to get, takes me back to gmail. This is a repetitive cycle. Any ideas on how to actually get a key and if there is a confirmation of some kind?

EDIT: I got it working, finally.

Thanks,

I realised I had to be signed into my gmail to get it to work. Something I didn't do last time.

I was making a desktop application to work with the Google Static Maps API, and then I saw this lovely line in the terms of use

Quote

[you may not] 10.8 use the Static Maps API other than in an implementation in a web browser;

I guess I'll have to try something else then!

I've played again with google maps. I've made a distance finder. Thought I'd share the result with you:

Check it out!

This is a straight-forward overlay of a picture onto a map.

fantastic! is the image georeferenced or is the position just hard-coded? can you show a simple way to do this with a georeferenced image? (i'm new at this, so my question might be based on wrong assumptions).

thanks!
