Mozilla releases 1.5.0.3 - .asp problems?

Posted 03 May 2006 - 02:37 PM

Anyone been experiencing problems with your .asp pages displaying properly in the new release Mozilla came out with yesterday? My .asp page is NOT displaying correctly, and of course Mozilla has no contact information on their site. Anyone having similar problems? Did they drop support for .asp pages?

Index and intro that lead to the home.asp page

Check this out, it has gone absolutely buggy in NS and Mozilla since their release yesterday...... You'll start at the age validation page, which leads to the intro.swf and into the home.asp page. Nothing but code pops up! I've tested it locally and it reads fine, but when I go to a live internet connection it just goes wacky!

What version are you on? Did you get uprageded to 1.5.0.4? They were supposed to release 1.5.0.4 today, and I'm hoping it clears up the issue. Wonder why I'm getting the wacky error?????? I've had a handful of users report the same problem to me, so something is definitely going on, I can't figure out WHAT the problem is! I'm soooo sick of browser wars. More testers to my link please!

Click here to view age validation page, which leads to intro.swf and that directs to home.asp...

error411413404, that isn't a problem with Firefox per se. The server is sending the page with a header type of text/plain...so that's what mozilla/firefox shows it as. IE recognizes the page has HTML and displays it as such.

Besides, ASP is server-side.

I don't know jack about asp. I didn't create the page, I wouldn't use asp if my life depended on it. How do I fix? I don't see a heading of text/plain???? Why are only some users affected?????

No there isn't.

I took the text that the page is displaying and saved it locally as an html file and opened it in firefox and it worked fine, theres a server setting thats telling it to display as text. maybe something with the javascripts that are on the page or something that isn't local.

asp works fine in firefox.

The header "Content-Type" is set to "text/plain". Nothing is wrong with Firefox/mozilla, it's doing exactly what it's being told to do. It's IE that's scewing up.

It's part of the header data that's before the actual HTML data is sent. You can see this info in Firefox by right clicking on the page and selecting "View Page Info".

The headers from your home.asp page. http://network-tools....com%2Fhome.asp
