USB communication using C/C++

Posted 31 March 2010 - 06:12 AM

Hi,
I am new to windows.I need some idea on how to communicate to a usb device using either c/C++/VC.
When I connect my USB device to the computer, I do NOT have a com port emulation. In MyComputer->Hardware->Devcie Manager, I am getting my USB device

enumerated as a special device, say "xyz device" in USB controller list.
Wanted to know following:
1. I wanted to send some raw bytes of data to my device.How will I communicate to the USB device in this case?

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

Microchip has some sample Visual C++ code to communicate with their USB devices which may help
