April fools..

Posted 01 April 2010 - 07:45 AM

I'm too lazy to search out any decent april fools day website jokes.. I saw google is now Topeka.. lame.

Youtube announced a "text mode"... meh..

Slashdot's hasn't changed..

My profile picture here is still mine and not skyhawk...

Has there been anything really amusing found?

Did you see the Google Translator for Animals?

Other than that, it has been a very poor year for April's Fools jokes :(

They changed it because some city named 'Topeka, Kansas' changed its name to 'Google'.

Makes it no less lame.

EDIT: Topeka, by the way, isn't just "some city"... it's kind of, like, the capital of Kansas and stuff.

Adult Swim aired "The Room" for the second year in a row. I actually watched 3/4's of it before smashing my head against the wall until I passed out.

Yup, I know *why* they changed it, but that doesn't really make it that cool.

Doesn't Topeka get regulated to "some city and junk" based on their state's rotational banning of evolution in the classroom? :hmmm:

Did Blizzard do anything fun this year? Work's blocking me from the site.

I thought this was pretty good. http://us.battle.net...king/index.html
Battle net did a match-making love style website but instead it is for finding a partner to "pwn noobs" with.

also, on reddit everyone can tern admin mode on. It is a gong show.

Google Docs can store physical objects:

TwitPic has their logo upside-down:

If you are using the American version of Google, if you search for something, the resulting search time will be shown in somewhat weird units. For example, 2.32e-15 epochs for the word Core (or 2.00 shakes of a lamb's tail).
