Logo Design

Posted 02 April 2010 - 06:26 PM

This is for a new company called Sentinel Summit, there are many things playing into this logo, but i don't want to influence your opinion

So a) tell me what you think the image represents and B) other thoughts on the logo

you can comment on the 'star' but I went through a few iterations for it and this was the most-liked.

(sorry - swore i attached it)

I like it. The text is well played. Simple, yet stands out.

And to me, the white mountain top things (I can't think of what it is called as of right now :] ) shows the marketing side of the company. And the star represents two things:
The actual summit, which would be included in the name, and how it is located at the actual summit of the hill, which shows how the company is at the top of the marketing game.

Idk, that's just what I saw the first time viewing it.

The only thing I'm not sold on is the shadow on the edges but granted it will probably be white backgrounds I can see where that comes into play.

I agree, the shadow looks well on the white. But if you plan on having a different background color than the shadow might be better dropped. It almost plays with your eyes because thats all that pops up at you. :)
