I've been gone awhile after posting that scripting language junk. For those who saw it and posted I will provide a bit of an update, it hasn't gone anywhere since then due to lack of developers or ideas. And just the interest to write thousands of lines of code for a hundred.
Anyhow onto some interesting stuff that's been going on.
I've been wanting to develop a game since early April and have been planning ever since. Planning such as what it will be like, what genre, what will it be coded in etc.
So now at first it was going to be written in XNA, "Support for pixel shader or vertex shader required"... Crap..
Okay next was managed DirectX with SlimDX wrapper. This was all going good and the gravity was nearly finished until I encountered more issues about how crappy my graphics card was. Thanks C#.
It's quite funny because I'm capable of running WOW at full fps or Maplestory.
Okay so what is it going to be coded in?
EDIT: GDI was unable to keep 10 fps when running rain. Looking into what it will be written in next.
Double edit: SlimDX.Direct2D perhaps.
I managed to simulate gravity in GDI+ along with collision detection. My plan would be to have gravity be one big loop for every object falling instead of a new loop for every object, this would increase FPS ya know?
So I'm looking for developers interested in this project idea.
I'm writing the physics/game engine first before doing anything, then applying it to its first game which will be a standard platform RPG with my pixel art.
Features include
Physics Engine
Pixel Perfect Collisions
Camera with Smoothness
Gravity Including Rolling, Auto-Adjusting, Bouncing(if available), acceleration, and more
Jumping with acceleration and normal gravity will apply
Movement with acceleration and deacceleration
Dynamic Rain and weather system
Particle Generator
Melee System
Gun System
Explosions with particles generated from blast's
Hopefully effects such as shockwave can be implemented
AI
Pathfinding
Hit and Miss System
Networking(when finished)
Co-op - Server and Client-Side Synchronization of player, npc, monster, objects, and more.
Oh and also I'm going to be using Reactive Extensions Framework where I can.
If you're interested please be sure you are capable of
-Programming Class's that can be added to the main engine(ex. particle generator)
-Write really clean and lightweight code
-Be cool
Thats about it.

My pixel art

Concept art of a game that I was making that was discontinued THIS IS NOT THE GAME I'M MAKING

After the physics engine is released I WILL be hosting a website dedicated to it. Physics Engine may or may not be marketed.
Post here and add me on AIM SpecificalBrute.
Serious people with above normal experience in C#!
