Help with Layout Managers

Hello everybody.
I am new to Java and i want to create a frame with some buttons and images on it
till now i have put the buttons and the menu bar but i have problem with the place
that is for the images because i dont know which layout manager i should use.
to better understand what i want i have upload an image that shows what exactly i want to
achive: Posted Image

i would be very grateful if you could help me.
(i do not want any code)

you can have some ideas looking at that tutorial:
http://java.sun.com/...yout/using.html

use the menu on the left to check the availabe layouts and how each layout looks and behave.

My guess for you is a GridBagLayout (GridLayout will work too), but that is just my suggestion

Agreed. Here is a tutorial from sun on how to do GridBagLayout:

Also, how would one go about making it work with GridLayout.. Would you have to use nested Layouts in separate Panels? Just trying to imagine how that one would be done since not all the buttons would be the same size.

Now that I think more about it, it probably wouldn't work quite right. I usually go for GridBagLayout anyways.
