What is the best project for a first tier to do in C++???
this is my first time ver touching C++ i've played around with VB but again i had noone to teach me and i want to specifically do C++.

Anything simple. A calculator or point of sale system is a typical intro project. If you are in for something more intensive either conway's game of life or minesweeper could be a challenge. They give you a fair breadth of knowledge if you complete them. Of course, the idea is to start simple. Think of simple console apps. C* to F* converter and the like. Help yourself get adjusted to syntax. C/C++ is an unpleasant beast compared to VB.
