Please excuse this if it's a really strange question...

I'm moving a website over to a new server (www.website1.com). This site has lots of subdomains on the original server (www.blog1.website1.com, www.blog2.website1.com, etc.).

I'm doing the development under another domain (www.website1new.com). I intend to mask-forward www.website1.com to www.website1new.com (so nobody sees the test domain.

Will that kill all the original subdomains, even if I leave them live on the original server? Or will those (blog1, blog2.website1.com) still work?
