Hello Dear All,


i ve a query, can we save .xls files in database directly ??
i want the whole file with extension .xls as a field in table
i am not sure is it possible or not, i googled abt this topic but couldnt find any solution

What you could do is to store your excel file as binary data directly into your database, but it's prefered not to do that. You should always store your files (images, excel files, etc...) to your hard drive. Keep only file paths in your database. Why would you even want to store your excel files in database?

Is this Possible that i Open Excel file from one PC(let say server) and Save it in other PC(Client)

I used Socket Programming as


Socket m_socListener = new Socket(AddressFamily.InterNetwork, SocketType.Stream, ProtocolType.Tcp);
IPAddress IPAdd = IPAddress.Parse("192.168.0.4");
IPEndPoint remoteEP = new IPEndPoint(IPAdd, 808);

Socket m_socClient = new Socket(AddressFamily.InterNetwork, SocketType.Stream, ProtocolType.Tcp);
m_socClient.Connect(remoteEP);

But Its giving error
Remote server is refused to accees

Is this can be done by Socket programing, or there is some other way to do this ???

Don't know much about networking, but it should be possible since there is a way of sending files across network and sharing them with different clients.
