Charset Problem

Posted 01 June 2010 - 02:20 PM

Hello everyone!

I have a problem with charsets.

I'm making a russian website, so I did use;
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1251">

And in db collation: cp1251_general_ci;
Posted Image
But I still have problem with characters;
I see "?" marks at explorer;

Please help me out.

Thanks!

Do you have the encoding set correctly in the browser? Have you tried to look at it in another browser? In IE try going to View >> Encoding... and select either "auto select" if it is not already or if it is selected try specifying "Unicode UTF-8" and see if either of those changes improve the situation.

Let us know. :)

Browser is OK! It seems strange to me, because on my localhost everything is okay. But when I upload my site on my host, and I aceess my site, "?" marks are everywhere. :(
