I am teaching cobol programmming. I need cobol compiler for my students. Can you give me any link or site where i can download it.I ahve just started it.

I use this one:

Its even in the Ubuntu(and I assume other) repositories. It was just a sudo apt-get install opencobol away! It supports various dialects of the language even. If you need something more nit-picky as to the COBOL standards, try the pre-release. Its much better than the old one. If this is a beginning class, the current stable build should be more than adequate.
