Fallout: New Vegas

Posted 09 June 2010 - 11:11 AM

Is anyone stoked stoaked about this as I am? So far the video looks great.. the game play should be tweaked from FO3... and the collector's edition is only about $20 bones more with a gang of feelies..

From other articles I've read the devs are looking to make a killing with such a low priced Collector's Ed.

Oh and it will use Steam as an online activation tool... but will not require it to be on once you activate it.

Sounds good to me!

PC - Collectors Ed

Quote

* "Lucky 7" poker chips. Each of the seven poker chips was designed to represent chips from the major casinos found on the New Vegas strip and throughout the Mojave Wasteland.
* A fully customized Fallout: New Vegas deck of cards. Each card in the pack has been uniquely illustrated to depict characters and factions found within the game.
* A recreation of the game?s highly coveted "Lucky 38" platinum chip.
* A hardcover graphic novel "All Roads", that tells the story of some of the characters and events that lead up to Fallout: New Vegas. "All Roads" was written by Chris Avellone and created in conjunction with Dark Horse Comics.
* The Making of Fallout: New Vegas' DVD. This documentary DVD will contain exclusive video content, including interviews with the developers in which they take you from concept to creation.

FO3 is my all time favorite game, now if this New Vegas holds true to being able to kill time in the Casino's I fear what my life may become.

I'm pretty pumped for this to come out. FO3 was pretty sweet.

When I first got FO3 it took a full month before putting down the conroler and turning off the system was even close to easy. Oct. 19th can't come soon enough. :w00t:

My only dissapointment is that the CE card deck shall never see much use. My enjoyment of it will be lessened, as I have no one willing to sit down and play any type of card game with it..

Not me. Fallout 3 was my first in the series. I was thinking about checking out 2, but I'm not sure I'll have time before NV comes out.

My favorite game by far. Although after Mothership Zeta came out I started to have a hard time finishing the game. It eventually got to the point where it was repetitive - same issue I had with Borderlands, fun for a while then the repetition sets in.

FO3 was a great game, don't get me wrong. But I wish Bethesda would have focused their entire team to finishing and releasing a new Elder Scrolls game. Morrowind and Oblvion ftw :]

Ughh. I played Oblivion, im struggling to get through it. It is a good game, but FO3 was that much better. I am more of a Post-Apocalyptic SteamPunk fan anyways than Wizards, Warlocks and Elves.

I feel my self getting addicted to it already!

Fallout 3 was really fun the first playthrough. After that I just kinda made characters specifically for achievements.

Can't wait for New Vegas!
