Anyone playing Yu-Gi-Oh! ?

Posted 10 June 2010 - 08:33 AM

Really how much popular Yu-Gi-Oh! is ? I mean in this period: 2009 - 2010
I've been looking for the statistics everywhere, does anyone know ?...

Let's discuss about the game. I find it really interesting.
It's strategy and gameplay are considered close to chess strategies.
If chess is the game of kings Yu-Gi-Oh! is the game of pharaohs.

Absolute mindblowing. But it lacks support from the owners.
Crappy websites, lack of constant card updates, silly new games,
bad services, KONAMI looks like she just wants to take as much
as she can from something that is slowly dying.

Well Yu-Gi-Oh! has proven to bee more than a game all it needs is a bump.
I can't understand why they don't care...

Playing offline gets kind of boring but online... is 10 times better.

It was good when it first started, but, much like Pokemon, it has been dragged out far past its prime.

I was totally into Pokemon in fifth grade. I traded for a Blastoise on the bus! I was cool.

Don't judge me.

You can say that it's the ultimate-card game, if you don't like it then you don't like card games.

Texas Hold 'Em is a card game, Blackjack is a card game, 5 card stud is a card game, Solitaire is a card game...

Yu-Gi-Oh is essentially Pokemon version 2, where the monsters are more humanish and the humans are also humanish.

I used to love that game. I stopped having people to play it with, so it eventually faded into a thing of the past.

I did magic the gathering for a while. That was an interesting game. I kind of consider it more of a strategy game or an rpg than a card game, though. As far as card games go, 21 is my game. Never got into poker, but I think it'd be something fun to try and learn.

21 is considered a type of poker, no?

That game hobby got expensive fast. If you wanted any decent chance of winning you had to drop some serious coin. Couple that with the fact that a middle schooler has no car and no job, thus asking your mother for a ride to the mall to go to Game Workshop....down the rabbit hole we go.
