[C++/MinGW/WMI] How to get machine UUID in C++

Hello.

Code::Blocks, Mingw on Windows XP platform.

I'm trying to get machine UUID.

I found code like belowe ( C++ and WMI ) :

But this code compile only in Visual Studio. Even if I add the windows SDK directories to Code::Blocks environment I have many errors when i try to compile this code.

Maybe You have some idea how to run this code in C::B or maybe You know another way to get UUID ?

Perhaps you might like to tell us exactly what are the errors, so that maybe we can fix them?

Unfortunately, you can't really get this to Compile on Code::Blocks, since comdef.h and Wbemidl.h are only available on Microsoft Visual C++. I also do not recommend you to manually place them in Code::Blocks /include folder, since they depend on other MSVC specific headers, and you will only get into more problems.

Now I get machine GUID from registry key :

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Cryptography]
"MachineGuid"="dbcab107-5342-4908-9e95-0aba2546f18b"
